1. 大気圧非熱平衡プラズマの光学的診断：
   各種大気圧プラズマのラジカル発生をLIFを中心とした光学観測によって調べている。オゾン発生などで従来の定説と異なる実験結果が得られている。
2. 大気圧非熱平衡プラズマによる大気環境改善技術の研究：
   大気圧プラズマを発生させることでガス状大気環境汚染物質の分解除去を行っている。特に、低濃度揮発性有機物の効率的な分解を追求している。
3. 誘電体表面並びに内部の静電荷の挙動観測：
   レーザ有機圧力法や静電圧力波法などによって空間電荷や表面電荷分布を測定し、熱刺激電流との相関から電荷挙動を調べる。
4. 大勾配軸分離の研究：
   大勾配磁気分離の基礎研究と微粉単品質向上に関する研究。
5. 半導体並びに半導体表面酸化膜の物性研究：
   Siや化合物半導体の表面をAESやショットキー接触電気特性などから調べ、界面状態と電子素子との相関を調べる。
